Online graduate school becomes a member of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry
New Delhi, March 23, 2006 - U21Global, the world's premier online Graduate School announced today that it has been granted Associate Membership of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). In addition, Dr. Mukesh Aghi, Chief Executive Officer, U21Global, will join FICCI's Education Committee Member, and will work with the other members on potential liaisons and tie ups between private higher education institutions and government bodies in India to help meet the rapidly diversifying needs of the growing economy. The committee will also take charge of recommending a policy framework for delivering quality education in India to senior government bodies.

Dr Aghi was in Delhi to speak at FICCI's Higher Education Summit, organized to address the trends in Private Higher Education in India . Held from March 23-24 and organized in partnership with the University Grant Commission (UGC), the summit brought together key national and international policy makers, educationists, NGOs and other intellectuals and highlighted some of the challenges and opportunities faced by the Higher Education Sector. Dr. Aghi was invited to address the audience in the session " Demand Focus in Private Higher Education: Diversity and Relevance ".
The summit also highlighted various other issues including private higher education in the Indian and global context, common perceptions of public and private higher education, public-private partnerships, enabling regulatory framework, ensuring public confidence and public & private financing of higher education.
