Faculty Excellence Awards 2012
Outstanding graduates are often the result of the symbiotic relationship between the faculty and the student body. Through diligent mentorship, supervision and encouragement, our faculty has capitalised on the learning potential of every student at U21Global Graduate School and consistently produced knowledge leaders.
In recognition of faculty excellence, we have launched two award categories:
- Most Innovative Professor Award
- Excellence in Online Education Award
We are pleased to announce the recipients of the Faculty Excellence Awards 2012, which takes into consideration all sections starting from January through to December 2011.
Most Innovative Professor Award
The nominees for this award have honed teaching into a fine art. In this student-nominated award category, the professor with the highest number of votes will emerge as the winner. U21Global Graduate School is delighted to present this award to Dr. Jason Fitzsimmons who will receive a book hamper worth S$250 sponsored by McGraw-Hill Education (Asia) and a certificate of commendation.
Excellence in Online Education Award
It takes a different class of professors to achieve excellence in an online environment. Gone are the conventions of traditional education; the modern online educator needs to be Internet-savvy, possess innovative teaching techniques and a global perspective. The award is given to the top 5 professors with the highest SEF (Student Evaluation of Faculty) scores. This high score bears a testament to the effectiveness and efficiency of our faculty members. To be eligible for this award, professors need to teach at least two sections in 2011.
This year, the awards are given to the following faculty members:
- Dr Jason Fitzsimmons
- Dr Yunus Kathawala
- Dr Kamna Malik
- Dr Amy Wong
- Dr Ken Wong
Each winner will receive a S$100 voucher and a certificate of commendation. Congratulations to all the winners of the Faculty Excellence Awards!
