- A Bachelor's degree from a recognised university. Those with professional qualifications from well known/reputed educational institutions will be preferred.
- Be in the age group of 25 - 45 with some track record as budding entrepreneurs. Candidates who are not in this age group will be considered if they show great potential to be successful entrepreneurs.
- On the verge of beginning a new entrepreneurial venture with exceptional track record both in academics as well as in professional experience will also be considered for the course.
- Basic knowledge and comfort level in using computers is a requirement. Participants must have some familiarity and experience in using emails and the Internet, either at home or at office on a regular basis for the past six months.
- During week 1, students will interact with the faculty at IIM Bangalore for 5 days in a face-to-face setting
- During the mid-term contact, students will have three days of contact classes where they get an opportunity to meet with the teaching faculty face-to-face once again
- During the off-classroom self-study part of the programme, students will be able to make use of web-based tools and internet communication channels to keep in touch with the teaching faculty.
- An orientation course for about two days on using the web-based Learning Management System at the beginning of the week 1 in term 1
- A Project course on Writing a Business Plan
- Residential: Rs. 3,00,000 per participant (Double occupancy)
- Non-residential: Rs. 2,50,000 per participant
Overview
The Management Programme for Entrepreneurs & Family Business (MPEFB) seeks to provide new generation entrepreneurs with fundamental principles of managing businesses and equip them with critical business management skills. This programme is jointly offered by the Nadathur S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL) at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) and U21Global.
All successful candidates would be awarded a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Family Businesses jointly issued by NSRCEL- IIM Bangalore and U21Global.
Curriculum
You must complete eight subjects (along with a Programme Project on Writing a Business Plan spanning Terms 3 & 4) to earn the certification.

Admission Criteria
You may be admitted to the programme by meeting the following criteria:
The number of participants for this programme is limited to 60. Based on the information provided by the applicants, a screening committee will select eligible applicants for the programme.
Duration
The duration of the programme is 52 weeks (12 months). It consists of four terms, each term consisting of 13 weeks. During each term, two courses will be offered to the participants. In totality, each successful candidate would have undergone 8 courses. The learning cycles are organised as follows:
Application Process
Enterprises/organisations interested in nominating participants should send the registration form duly filled-in along with registration fee of Rs. 25, 000/- per participant on or before 30th October 2007.
Registrations are accepted on a first come first served basis subject to their fulfilling the selection criteria.
Note: The Programme would also accept self-nominations by entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Fees
The Management Programme for Entrepreneurship and Family Businesses will commence on January 21st, 2008 and will end on January 11th, 2009 . There are both residential and non-residential options.
However, we strongly recommend the residential option, as it would substantially enhance the learning value of the course through continuous interaction not only with the participants of this programme but also with the participants of other programmes at IIMB.
The fees for the two options are as follows:
