Dr Habibullah Khan

Habibullah Khan is Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at U21Global, where his teaching and research focus is on Managerial Economics and Global and Regional Economic Development. He is responsible for all assessment-related matters, including the moderation and publication of students' grades. Dr Khan oversees the development of new subjects and works closely with authors, academic reviewers and U21pedagogica (the review and accreditation agency for U21Global). Prior to joining U21Global, Dr Khan was Associate Professor of Economics at the National University of Singapore from 1997 to 2004. His research areas include development economics, the economies of ASE AN and NIEs, and tourism. He has consulted widely with international organisations, including the World Bank and the ASEAN Secretariat.
Dr Khan has published widely, including a book on the Socioeconomic Development of ASEAN, and three other books that he co-authored. He has also contributed chapters to a number of books and his articles have appeared in international refereed journals. Dr Khan has presented his papers at several international conferences and is widely regarded as an authority on tourism and economic development of Singapore and ASEAN. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of New South Wales, Australia and an MA from Dhaka University, Bangladesh.
